Playground Features & Experience

Madison’s Place is Woodbury’s premier inclusive playground, where play knows no limits. Designed for children of all abilities, this thoughtfully crafted space offers a fun, engaging and fully accessible environment where every child can explore, connect and create lasting memories.

Madison’s Place was created with the vision of providing an inclusive play environment where all children feel welcome. Built in honor of a young girl whose memory inspired a commitment to accessibility, the playground stands as a testament to Woodbury’s dedication to fostering community spaces that serve every child and family.

Spanning 16,000 square feet, Madison’s Place is one of the largest inclusive playgrounds in the region. Its wheelchair-friendly surfaces allow children to navigate the space with ease, while sensory-friendly areas offer a calming environment for those who benefit from quieter play spaces. Adaptive equipment ensures that every child can participate in activities that encourage physical and social engagement.

Families visiting Madison’s Place can take advantage of additional amenities that make their experience even more enjoyable. The playground is located next to a splash pad, providing a fun way for children to cool off on warm days. Nearby picnic areas provide a comfortable spot for families to relax and share a meal. Plus, with the M Health Fairview Sports Center just steps away, there is something recreational for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Beyond Madison’s Place, Woodbury offers other inclusive recreation options. Our city’s adaptive recreation programs provide individuals with disabilities the chance to participate in sports, social activities and community events. For example, the Woodbury Rotary Miracle Field, an accessible baseball field, allows children and adults of all abilities to enjoy the sport in a supportive and inclusive setting.
